At The Weight Clinic, our program addresses not only the physical aspects of weight loss, but also the mental, emotional, and spiritual factors that can contribute to weight gain. The main goal of our clinic is to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight through a combination of medical and lifestyle interventions. This may include nutrition counseling, physical activity recommendations, medication management, and cognitive behaviour therapy depending on the individual patient's needs and preferences.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kufaishi is an Assistant Clinical Professor ( Adjunct) within the Faculty of Health Medicine at McMaster University, where she contributes to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Her commitment to advancing the field of obesity medicine extends beyond clinical practice, as evidenced by her active involvement in research and education initiatives. Notably, Dr. Kufaishi previously served as the Chair of Obesity Canada's Hamilton Chapter, highlighting her dedication to the management of patients with obesity and obesity related comorbidities.
