Overweight (BMI > 27) plus one of the following :

Diabetes

Dyslipidemia

Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Hypertension

PCOS

Metabolic Syndrome

Rapid Unexplained Weight Gain eg secondary to medication

Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Osteoarthritis

Or

Obesity (BMI > 30)

Please note for patients from Asian Backgrounds ( Middle East, South East Asia , Far East) , the BMI cutoffs are lower

BMI> 25 for Overweight

BMI > 27 for Obesity
